What's a trollparty?
- It's an event facilitating communication between the worlds of technology, citizens and politicians.
- You can say, that a trollparty is a 'festive, social operation accompanied by technical efforts' (party) organized by and for 'cave inhabitants' (trolls). The interactive aspect, besides the technical, legitimizes the organization of such an event. The former editions of this event have filled this principle with matter and made it tangible.
Where does the name come from?
- 'troll' is a special term used on the internet. It is often used in conjunction with little constructive polemics in online-discussions, but the definition in the jargon file suggests multiple pretty amusing meanings(like the one dealing with flame bait).
- 'party' is another term for an interactive activity in the technical milieu and also the rest of the world, like the install-parties, well known in the Linux world. Some of that spirit rubs off on the trollparties, although their objective is different.
